TranscriptKit is designed to work without collecting personal data. No account is required, and the tools are free.

Files you upload

Uploaded files are sent directly from your browser to the speech-to-text provider for transcription. TranscriptKit does not store a copy of your uploaded video, audio, or transcript. If you reload the page, your file is gone — that is expected behavior, not a bug.

Links you submit

Submitted links (for example a public TikTok or YouTube URL) are used only to retrieve transcript or media information for that request. They may be processed by third-party services acting as content providers. We do not publish or archive submitted links.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses only the cookies strictly needed to run (for example language and theme preferences). If analytics is enabled, it records anonymous, aggregate events such as page and tool usage — never transcript text, full video URLs, usernames, or filenames.

Third-party services

Transcription is performed by a speech-to-text provider, and platform content may be retrieved through commercial content providers. Their own terms apply to the processing they perform on our behalf.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated date at the top of this page changes with it. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
